How long does it takes to change a heater core on a s10 chevy blazer?

The shop guides say that it should take 12 to 14 hours to do the job. I have done it in as little as 4 hours though. If you unbolt the steering column and let it drop to the seat and then remove the screws that run it at the defrosters right beside the windshield and then remove the 2 bolts in the dash right beside the kick panels the entire dash will slide back about 6 inches which is just barely enough room to get the cover off the heater box you should be able to do it in a lot less time than they call for. It is a back killing job though with tons of twisting and bending to get at it this way but it saves a lot of time. The wires and everything that are behind the dash can stay connected and will give you just enough room to get in there so leave them connected. Hope I have been helpful. How long does it takes to change a heater core on a s10 chevy blazer? Not bad! Looks like 1 hr without AC, 2 hours with AC.How long does it takes to change a heater core on a s10 chevy blazer? It's not hard to change a heater core in a chevy ,you will find it under the dash on the passengers side ,it's in the big black plastic box just under the dash ,you will need to remove the screws that hold the box together ,it a two piece box and the screw hold the two pieces together.
